Dear Neighbors and Friends,

Whether it is Washington or Frankfort, we have a government that is out-of-touch. We have politicians who ignore our values and look out for themselves. We have a mess in Frankfort and incumbents who are making it worse each day by voting to put us in more debt and take away more of our freedoms…and ignoring the voice of the people. Just like in Washington, where Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid are ignoring us, we have certain politicians who ignore the people they represent.

It is no wonder that recent Rasmussen polls show that 75% of the people want to throw all incumbents out of office and are madder than ever about their government. People want real change that creates jobs, cuts taxes, and controls wasteful spending. It is time to take our government back!

I will work for all the people of our district, not an elite few. We must stand united in defense of coal jobs and coal mining. The attack by Barack Obama and his allies in Frankfort who refuse to condemn or to stand up to Washington, the EPA, and radical environmental groups must not go unchallenged. I am a “Friend of Coal” and will remain 100% pro-coal. We must ensure coal remains part of our future and we must work to protect coal jobs and a safe workplace for coal miners.

Through a strong relationship with Congressman Hal Rogers, I will work with him to ensure that Harlan, Letcher, and Pike County continues to get funding for water, sewer, and road construction. I will work with my good friend Congressman Hal Rogers and other federal officials to provide the foundation for job creation and to fight the drug problem in our area.

I oppose the Governor’s plan to force the people to accept casino gambling. My opponent does not. She voted for the Governor’s plan repeatedly. I will not vote for any casino gambling bill that ignores your voice on the issue. The answer to jobs is not to hand our kids a deck of cards and to teach them to count to 21.

I ask for your vote and support on November 2 to be the next 94th District State Representative for all the people of Harlan, Letcher, and Pike County.

Sincerely,

Roger Ford
